Dancer, model, actress, performer ... From small to large screen, from advertisements to theater without forgetting dance ... creative and inventive, constantly in the light since its beginnings, let's meet Mélanie Guth.

RC. Can you introduce yourself in a few lines ?

After a multidisciplinary dance training in Montpellier at Epsedanse, I joined an amateur theatre troupe at La Sorbonne (Paris) where I studied the history of art up to a master's degree. At the age of 16, I won the model contest of the magazine "20 ans" which allowed me to join the KARIN agency in Paris. Then began shooting of commercials (Nivea, Toyota, Danone...), short films, music video (Jean Jaques Goldman, Jean Louis Aubert), TV series with JLA as well as second fiddle in films. I then followed acting courses at Studio Pygmalion and with Damien Acoca, who gave me the impetus to start an acting career while pursuing modeling. I joined the Hyperkult theatre company and played for 3 years in Leslie Bevillard's comedies in Paris and on tour. As an actress, I shot with renowned directors such as Olivier Megaton, Elie Chouraqui, Nicole Garcia, Michel Hazanavicius... I also played opposite Kevin Costner in "Three days to kill" and on french TV, I played Alice in "Plus belle la vie". More recently, I played Youssef Hajdi's wife in the latest TV movie "Apprendre à t'aimer" by Stéphanie Pillonca. At the same time, I take part in writting and shows creation workshops (Théâtre de la Ville in Paris, schools, various companies, Jou'artistes association...) with children and teenagers.

And since I also like to go behind the camera, I attended Ingrid Lanzenberg on several castings and then as first assistant on his short film "JULES". I work as co-author with her on a project scenario.

RC. How do you get your creative ideas?

What inspires me the most is human encounters ! The richness of life brings me to the different projects I am involved in.To develop a character, I essentially get my ideas from reality, trying to always be fair and sincere. Some actors are also a great source of inspiration.

RC. What was your favorite project ?

Each project is enriching. I haven't any favorite, even if some are more striking than others depending on the period. When magic works, I'm so satisfied !

RC. What's your method of work ?

Take pleasure, having fun while working ! In the different fields I explore, methods vary and adjust to situations.

In general, I always try to give the best of myself according to the expectations of the director, the photographer, or the stage director… And when it concerns my projects, I make sure I am coherent and I listen to the people working with me, always keep in mind my purpose.

Finally, my secret is to stay awake, especially in the off-peak periods, by training me regularly, much like a sportsman. I practice yoga, dance and meditation in turn, this is my recipe for work ;-)

RC. Can you share tips with us ?

Go for it ! Believe in your dreams and keep your self-confidence !

RC. Do you have any coming plans ?

I have a writing project in progress with Ingrid Lanzenberg.

In November, I will join the team of the EPAS (Ecole Professionnelle des Arts du Spectacle) in Mâcon (France) by taking part in casting workshops and helping students to write. I have the honor of being the sponsor of the 2020-2021 promo and I am pleased with it.

At the same time, I’ve been coming back to my first love for a few months... I’ve taken up the dance lessons with Anthony Despras and I’m looking forward to continuing to dance and progress !

Projects as an actress are coming up with my agent Jeff Gaillard at ALIAS TALENTS.
